Our sense of adventure is what attracted us to each other. He said let’s travel Spain for a few of months, so we bought a one way ticket. She said, let’s pack up and move to the Central Coast, so we did. Our life is one lovely adventure after the next and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Proposal
On a beautiful Tuesday in December, I decided to make my move. With butterflies in my stomach, I proposed to the love of my life. Under the guise of a nice relaxing Spa day, we both decided to play hooky from work. Where better to start a Spa day than at our favorite winery, Baileyana? After a quick tasting we were ready to head out when I asked Karissa if she would take a picture with me in the vineyards. We walked out and snapped a quick selfie. Before I could even get the ring out, Karissa was practically back to the car and I worried I had missed my shot. I knew this was my moment so I asked Karissa to come back for another picture. Before she could escape again, I pulled the ring out, got down on one knee, and proposed. I think the first words out her mouth we an expletive of sorts but she quickly said “YES!” and I knew we were starting the greatest adventure of our lives!
